Married2Property
M2P was founded to create social good.
Based on significant property experience, M2P leverage a select group of residential/commercial solicitors, brokers, accountants, housing operators and other business partners to help solve problems for Landlords and Investors alike – bringing about social good in the process.
Our founders (see below) are dedicated to this.

Military turned entrepreneur

Darren de Wal
Director
Darren has 13 years of experience in property investment and has spent hundreds of hours on his own education in probably any property strategy you can think of. This makes him uniquely-placed to find novel solutions for even the most seemingly intractable property issues.
Darren had a previous 16 year career in the Royal Air Force (RAF), where he received several commendations for going over and above what was required, including from the US Air Force (USAF). He has served in extreme, highly-pressured leadership and project management roles as a Senior Officer, leading upwards of 50-strong teams of chronic high-achievers at times, but mostly smaller, more adaptable and flexible teams. This is where he discovered a natural talent for project management, problem-solving and getting things from step 1 to step done, by putting the right people together and structuring things to form win-win scenarios.
Highly organised, creative and driven, with a systemised approach to pushing projects through to the point of success – acting as the driving force.
Through M2P, his aim is to build successful, longterm property relationships that are mutually beneficial. Darren has a BSc in Physics, an MSc in Air Operations and Tactics and numerous property training qualifications including in Property Law and several property areas.
Being half Dutch, but originally from Scotland, he (of course) plays the Bagpipes (but also the guitar), has a liking for cheese and has been a fairly serious computer programmer in the past. He is also a Mensan.
He very much enjoys keeping fit at the gym with his wife Lindsay.

Doing social good

Dr. Lindsay de Wal
Director
Lindsay is originally from Holland and came to the UK in 2014. From a standing start, she became the first ever Humanist appointed Head of Chaplaincy in the NHS, making National and International Headlines.
An extremely busy woman, she holds down several roles. As well as being the Networking Director of M2P, she is also a trainer at Humanists UK as well as having recently completed the final year of her Doctorate in 2025 with Middlesex University on “the experience of humanists entering faith-based healthcare chaplaincy teams”, building on her MA from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Lindsay is also an accredited pastoral carer with the UK Board of Healthcare Chaplaincy.
A keen property investor, Lindsay realised early-on that property can be used for social good and creating win-win scenarios.
Like Darren, she is also highly organised, creative and incredibly driven, with an exceptional flair for networking and team management that makes it look effortless.
Within the business of M2P, Lindsay aims to ensure that property projects benefit all those concerned.
Being half Dutch and growing up in the Netherlands, she has a no-nonsense straight-talking (but warm) Dutch mannerism about her – as well as a weakness for good cheese.
She very much enjoys taking time out from her busy schedule to pursue a number of hobbies.
